Following the success of the Body Butter and Body Oil launch, cult-favorite body-care line MUTHA began its pivot to facial skincare in July 2020 with the launch of the face oil.  Hope Smith and her team commissioned us to help them build a unique and thought-provoking design strategy for the brand’s future product categories.

Our first new products, the No.1 Face Serum and the Up All Night Eye cream tap into MUTHA’s strong existing design and mark the beginning of the brand’s development into facial skincare.

The latest addition to the growing MUTHA skincare range, Eye the Cream and Cream Extreme come as the ultimate luxury experience to keep your skin at it’s best from day to night. MUTHA Cream for the AM protection, and Cream Extreme for the PM repair.⁠⁠ We were commissioned by their team to bring to life these groundbreaking formulas into a unique packaging, providing consumers with a truly desirable, around-the-clock luxury skincare experience.⁠⁠


Innovation, Design Strategy, Product design, Packaging. 

The choice of material and finishes was a real milestone in the development of the new products. Perfectly complementing the iconic MUTHA purple chrome, we introduced the use of a soft and matte white stone finish, contrasted with the sleek metallic.⁠⁠ This contrast elevates the brand’s look & feel to a bolder, more tactile dimension. We are still strongly led by the MUTHA’s visual codes, while allowing the new skincare set to have its own personality and distinguish itself from the rest of the range.⁠⁠
